Upcomer’s 2021 Call of Duty League MVP is Jamie “Insight” Craven of the Toronto Ultra. The 21-year-old wonder helped take a struggling European squad from a poor performance in the Stage 1 Major to winning the next one with a wild losers bracket run. Toronto have also performed well in every tournament since he joined.
Insight even made the case for himself the best.
“From top 64 in challengers to winning my first pro event in the space of 2 months, words cannot describe how I’m feeling right now,” he tweeted after the Stage 2 Major. “I could cry.”
The full list of reasons that make Insight Upcomer’s MVP is long. From breaking the Search and Destroy kill record in his debut against the Los Angeles Thieves to finishing with one of the highest overall Kill/Death ratios, Insight has been a force in the Call of Duty League. Outside Eli “Standy” Bentz and Minnesota’s incredible Stage 5 comeback, no one else has come close to doing what Insight has done.

Insight, while teammates with two other stars in Cameron “Cammy” McKilligan and Tobias “CleanX” Juul Jønsson, makes everyone else on his team shine. Anthony “Methodz” Zinni arguably could have had similar success on the Ultra if given more time, but we’ll never get to see that outcome. Regardless, Insight increased the level of play for his entire team, helping clean out lanes for his SMGs and applying pressure so that Ben “Bance” Bance could shine. We have no doubt that Insight will help his team climb to a strong finish at Champs.
