The Season 4 Reloaded update for Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War will release on July 15 at 12 a.m. ET.
There’s content coming for all three factions of Call of Duty include game modes in Warzone, weapons and maps in multiplayer and a brand new map in Zombies. However, overshadowing almost all of this is the inclusion of a Nuke killstreak in multiplayer.
Treyarch casually dropped the news of the Nuke coming in a recent Twitter post. Fans were immediately excited about the possibility of earning a Nuke in Cold War. The killstreak is one of the most popular in gaming history, becoming famous in Modern Warfare 2. Traditionally, Treyarch titles have solely featured the Nuclear medal, but Cold War is the first Black Ops game to make it into a streak.

For the past month or so, the Nuke has actually been included in Cold War multiplayer. It’s only been in the Cranked Hardpoint game mode, though. While this was definitely an exciting inclusion, fans wanted to earn the Nuke outside of the game mode since it is so chaotic.
Obviously, the developers at Treyarch took this to heart. Starting with Season 4 Reloaded, the Nuke is able to be earned in most multiplayer game modes (except League Play, Gunfight and big-team modes). Fans can earn the Nuke by going on a 30 killstreak without dying. This only includes gun kills. So, if players earn 20 kills with a Chopper Gunner, it won’t count towards the Nuke. When players do call in the killstreak, it won’t end the game but it will immediately kill every enemy player.
A total of 30 kills without dying is no small feat, but many Black Ops players have been doing it for years. Getting a Nuclear medal was the highest form of bragging rights in every other Black Ops title. Now, players will be able to get the Nuclear medal while also calling in a Nuke exclusively in Cold War.
