Danny “huynh” Huynh will play for Ghost Gaming in the VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 3 week 1 qualifiers as a trial, the organization announced on July 1. The official announcement came a few days after people noticed he was signed up with the team.

“With the transfer of dazzLe to LG, #GhostVALORANT will be trialing @HYUNH_CS as their fifth in the #VALORANTChallengers NA Stage 3 Week 1 Qualifier,” Ghost Gaming tweeted.
Huynh has been a free agent since he got benched from Gen.G in April, after competing with them since May 2020. In June, the 26-year-old left the organization officially in search of a new starting spot. Ghost Gaming is now offering him an opportunity as they aim to qualify for VCT Stage 3 Challengers 1.
Huynh to bring Ghost Gaming along on his way back up?
Huyhn was with Gen.G for 13 months and found good results, finishing third at Masters 1. After a disappointing Stage 2, where Gen.G failed to qualify for both main events, the team sought to make a change. He was benched and a month later got replaced by Nicholas “NaturE” Garrison.
Huynh is primarily a duelist and Sova player, but, as per his own words, is open to other roles as well. Going by his Tweet, however, it does look like he’ll be maining Sova for Ghost Gaming.
Ghost Gaming is a team that could do with a player of his caliber, regardless of the role. The organization joined VALORANT in January and has been trying to find a solid starting line-up for VCT. So far, they have yet to qualify for a main event. Huynh, in turn, was without a team as the qualifiers approached. The qualifiers will determine whether Huynh can rise back up to compete at the top again, and whether Ghost is the team to do it with.
Huynh replaces Will “dazzLe” Loafman, who transferred to Luminosity Gaming on July 1. Ghost Gaming will play in the North American qualifiers, also starting July 1, where they will face off against the unsigned Aim Stars in the first round.
