Among all of the weapons to receive a buff in the Season 5 Reloaded update of Call of Duty: Warzone, the QBZ-83 was among the most surprising. This classic Black Ops Cold War assault rifle was pretty much forgotten about by the Warzone community up to this point. At the time of writing, the QBZ-83 still only has a 0.22 pick rate in Warzone, which is less than half of all of the guns in the game. However, with its buff now in effect, players have begun to take notice of the QBZ-83 and its top loadout in Warzone.

The QBZ-83 was in the meta once upon a time during the Cold War life cycle. This was mainly due to another buff the rifle received. After being in the meta for a spell, the developers promptly nerfed it again and buffed other rifles to essentially make the QBZ a non-factor yet again. With another buff right before Warzone 2 comes out, it seems as though the developers are ensuring the QBZ-83 stays somewhat strong. With that in mind, players could use a refresher on the QBZ-83 and its best loadout.

The two aspects of the QBZ to get buffed were its headshot multiplier and neck damage multiplier. While these aren’t all-important stats, they will allow players to kill enemies quicker if they aim for the head. The top loadout for the QBZ-83 makes doing that slightly easier as well.

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 15.5″ Task Force
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Magazine: STANAG 60 Round Drum

This loadout is all about increasing recoil control and damage range. With these two stats boosted across the board, players will be dealing more damage than ever and they’ll be able to stay on target. This makes aiming for the upper body easier and allows players to take full advantage of the buffs the QBZ received in Season 5 Reloaded.
