During the current course of Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4, many players are growing tired of the meta. The NZ-41, despite a recent nerf from Raven Software, remains the most dominant weapon in the entire game. While a majority of players are still using the weapon, there are other options. The Cold War AK-47 is immediately recognizable to veterans of Warzone. The rifle was at the top of the meta all of last year, consistently being one of the most-picked weapons up until Vanguard was integrated in late 2021. While the Cold War AK-47 has fallen off in terms of popularity, it still remains a fantastic all-around weapon that players can successfully use in Season 4. Of course, to get the most out of the Cold War AK-47, players need to use its best loadout in Warzone.
Best Cold War AK-47 loadout in Warzone
The AK-47’s loadout hasn’t changed at all since it was popular in 2021. However, for any new players or returning veterans that need a refresher on the recommended loadout, here are the attachments you want to use.

- Barrel: 20″ Spetsnaz RPK Barrel
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
- Magazine: 45 Rnd
These are meta attachments for any Cold War AR, and for good reason. The Cold War AK-47’s damage range and recoil control are the main stats that receive a boost with this loadout. While the AK-47’s recoil still kicks here and there, that might be a good change-up for players coming from using the laser beam of the NZ-41.
