The Paris Legion have made a roster change ahead of the Call of Duty League Major IV qualifiers. As announced on Twitter, the team has replaced submachine gun player Johnathan “John” Perez with former Challengers player Giancarlos “oJohnny” Carrasco. This move likely won’t matter for the Legion this season, as they need a miracle to jump from 12th to 8th place in the standings and make the CDL Champs bracket. The signing of oJohnny is presumably to gauge his talent level for next season, as well as to give him an opportunity to compete in the CDL for the first time.
John will be moved to the substitute spot for the remainder of the Stage as we give Johnny a chance for his shot in the CDL.

Paris has had a lackluster season, only winning two matches so far in 2022. This isn’t for a lack of trying, however; Donny “Temp” Laroda is having a career year, posting a 1.11 KD so far. The play of Temp’s teammates, namely his SMG duo John, has resulted in Paris’ lack of success for the most part. It’s clear that John was the weak link for a majority of this season, which led the Legion to swap him out for an up-and-coming Challengers player.
oJohnny is an aggressive SMG player that should slide in nicely alongside Temp. Most recently, oJohnny played with James “Clayster” Eubanks, Tyler “FeLo” Johnson, and current LA Guerrillas starter Kris “Spart” Cervante. This roster got fifth-sixth place at the Toronto Ultra Challengers Open and achieved the same placement at the NA Elite 4 Qualifier.
Prior to teaming with Clayster and company, oJohnny competed with new Florida Mutineers starter Brendan “2ReaL” Stockdale, although he mainly competed under UYU with players like Timothy “Phantomz” Landis. oJohnny has won just one event this season, the NA Challengers Cup #11. Despite other players being more successful, it seems the Paris Legion likes the potential oJohnny has displayed this season; we’ll see if the Legion can win any more matches in 2022 with oJohnny on the roster.
