Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone has just started up and players are trying to figure out the meta and what guns are viable to use. Luckily for players, developers Raven Software has made a wide variety of weapons viable, meaning there are plenty of choices in Season 3. If players are looking to turn back the clock with their loadout, they can take advantage of the Cold War MP5 in Warzone.
The Cold War MP5 is a bit of a forgotten choice in Warzone. Since Vanguard’s integration, the submachine gun has fallen to the wayside. However, this doesn’t mean that players in Season 3 can’t still use the SMG to great effect in the new season of Warzone. The Cold War MP5 can compete with the best SMGs in the game, but it needs its top loadout in order to do so.

Best Cold War MP5 loadout in Warzone
The recommended loadout for the version of the MP5 hasn’t changed much since it was at the top of the battle royale’s meta. It uses all meta attachments for Black Ops Cold War SMGs. Essentially, if players knew the MP5’s best loadout in 2021, then they know its best loadout in 2022.
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
- Stock: Raider Stock
- Grip: Field Agent Grip
- Ammunition: STANAG 50 Rnd Drum
This loadout improves every aspect of the Cold War MP5. Recoil control, bullet velocity and damage range are all increased with the Agency Suppressor and the Field Agent Grip. Mobility is also boosted thanks to the Tiger Team Spotlight and Raider Stock. Finally, players have 20 extra bullets in each magazine with the 50 Rnd Drum.
While the Cold War MP5 is no longer at the top of the meta in Warzone, it’s still a viable option in Season 3.
