There’s a small group of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare weapons that are still prevalent in Warzone. The Kar98k, MP5 and CR-56 AMAX immediately come to mind. However, there are a few weapons that are popular but aren’t as commonly known. This mainly includes rifles such as the Kilo 141 and the M4A1.

The latter is more surprising, as its exact counterpart, the XM4, is featured in Black Ops Cold War. But, players still stand by their M4A1 and its never-changing loadout. While not as strong as other rifle loadouts in Warzone, it still gets the job done in Season 3.

Best M4A1 loadout in Warzone

The M4A1 is about as basic as an assault rifles comes. It’s the classic rifle that all others are measured against in Call of Duty. Because of this, and its popularity in Modern Warfare, it has become an instant must-use weapon in Warzone.

As the battle royale has evolved over time, some players stopped using the M4. However, it was always in the back of players’ minds, in no small part due to its loadout. The class is a medium to long-range monster and can take down enemies with the best weapons in Warzone. Veterans will immediately recognize the loadout but newcomers can certainly make use of it as well.

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Stock M16 Grenadier
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 60 Round Mags

As it hasn’t really changed since the beginning of Warzone, the loadout makes great use of the M4A1’s range and accuracy. The Monolithic Suppressor and Commando Foregrip handle the recoil management while the Stock M16 Grenadier helps with damage and range for those longer range encounters.

Speaking of long-range gunfights, the VLK 3.0x Optic is perfect for mowing down enemies beyond 20 meters. It’s also effective at shorter ranges, making it the preferred optic for the M4A1. Finally, the 60 Round Mags ensure that players won’t run out of bullets in the middle of a gunfight.

The M4A1 is a true veteran weapon in Warzone but its loadout is still prevalent in Season 3.
