With version 2.4 of Genshin Impact nearing its end, miHoYo has announced the release date for the version 2.5 announcement livestream. While miHoYo is keeping things under the veil until the trailer, prominent leakers have already given hints to what the new version has to offer in terms of both character and weapon banners.

When is the Genshin Impact 2.5 release livestream?
The version 2.5 announcement livestream will take place on Friday at 7 a.m. ET on the official Genshin Impact Twitch channel. After the stream concludes, the trailer will appear on the game’s official YouTube channel.
Yae Miko will be released
According to the leaks on social media, Yae Miko seems to be best used as a sub-DPS character that revolves around using her Elemental Burst, Tenko Kenshin, whenever it is available. With that being said, Tenko Kenshin is rumored to cost 90 energy to cast. Without additional energy generation built into her kit like Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko may need effective batteries in her teams.
Raiden Shogun and Kazuha will have rerun banners
Both of these highly coveted characters are rumored to have rerun banners for version 2.5. Raiden’s immense energy generation combined with her Elemental Burst causes her to be one of, if not the best, sub-DPS characters in Genshin Impact. Kazuha’s ability to apply Swirl in a consistent manner while reducing elemental resistances allows him to fit into almost every team.
Primordial Jade Cutter and Kagura’s Verity are coming
The first wave of weapon banners has also been leaked. Primordial Jade Cutter is a highly coveted one-handed sword. It can be used on many sub-DPS and support characters like Bennet, Jean, Albedo, and Kazuha. Specific details of Kagura’s Verity have not been confirmed, but it is rumored to be Yae Miko’s weapon.
