In a short 24 second video Team Liquid Counter-Strike: Global Offensive General Manager Steve “jokasteve” Perino confirmed that Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip, Michael “Grim” Wince and Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo will not play for the team in 2022. This short update confirms weeks of previous reporting around the three players and their future with the organization.
“As of today, moving forward, Grim, FalleN and Stewie are no longer on our starting lineup. We’ll be providing more information on out social platforms in the coming weeks,” jokasteve said.

It has been previously reported that Stewie2k is in talks with Evil Geniuses to join their CS:GO lineup alongside former teammate Timothy “autimatic” Ta. Grim is reportedly in talks with Complexity Gaming for their 2022 roster and FalleN is looking to create a Brazilian superteam according to a report by Jaxon.
This announcement comes after Team Liquid placed fourth at the BLAST Premier: World Final 2021. With reports of the team’s eminent demise circling for the better part of two months, the team’s morale has been at an all time low after their PGL Major run, according to an interview with Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski on Pley.gg.
“It is pretty much because we knew, that there will be changes, and it will not be a roster that we are going to stick with. The team is not really getting along. And no, it is not me against everyone, it is internally everyone is not getting along really well,” EliGE said to Pley.gg.
Liquid are also reportedly signing Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella, along with Josh “oSee” Ohm from Extra Salt and French player Richard “shox” Papillon for 2022.
Team Liquid’s CS:GO roster will also maintain the services of EliGE and Canadian player Keith “NAF” Markovic in the next year. NAF recently re-signed with the organization through 2024.
