X10 CRIT announced that they’ve parted ways with their 2021 roster on Tuesday. The lineup was already down to four members after Patiphan Chaiwong departed for the Overwatch League, which was announced shortly after the squad’s exit from VALORANT Champions.

The organization will now look for five new players for the upcoming 2022 season of the VALORANT Champions Tour. The dates and format for the South East Asian VCT circuit have yet to be revealed by Riot Games.

X10 CRIT in 2021
X10 had a great 2021 season with their five-man roster. The team saw few roster moves (adding Patiphan from FULL SENSE) and placed first in all but two main events across the South East Asia and Thailand VCT circuit. The X10 CRIT roster had a decent run internationally as well in 2021. They qualified for two out of the three offline international tournaments, VCT Stage 2: Masters Reykjavík and VALORANT Champions.
They qualified from Reykjavík by winning the SEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals over FULL SENSE 3-1 and made Champions through circuit points accumulated by winning all those events across the three stages of competition. At Reykjavík, X10 placed in the top six after bombing out of the tournament, thanks to a 2-0 loss to Fnatic. The team went 1-2 at the tournament, their sole win being against Japanese side Crazy Raccoon.
At VALORANT Champions, the team had a slight redemption arc as they finished in the top 10 after upsetting their group. They went 2-1 in the group stage, losing to Envy in their first matchup and then defeating Keyd Stars and Team Envy in the elimination matches to make the playoffs. The team bowed out of the tournament in the quarterfinals after a 2-1 loss to finalists and VCT Stage 3 Masters Berlin champions Gambit Esports.
