Who is babybay in VALORANT?

Babybay: Hypest of Them All | The Overwatch League

Currently, babybay is a pro VALORANT player for FaZe Clan. He joined the organization in August of 2020 and has remained an active member of its VALORANT team ever since. The 27-year-old gamer predominantly plays as Jett and Neon in VCT matches.

Over the course of his tenure with FaZe Clan, babybay has secured several top-eight finishes at major tournaments, along with several tournament wins. Most notably, FaZe Clan won the A-tier VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Challengers 3. Along the way, the VALORANT squad conquered T1, NRG, Luminosity and 100 Thieves.

Babybay entered his first VALORANT majors of 2023 in March and is slated to compete in more events as the year goes on. As of April 2023, babybay plays alongside the following players in the FaZe Clan roster according to the FaZe Clan website:

According to Liquipedia, babybay is an American player with Slovak and Lebanese heritage. Prior to joining FaZe Clan’s VALORANT team, babybay competed in numerous other esports titles. Most notably, he was a member of the Overwatch League’s Atlanta Reign from August of 2019 to July of 2020.

As an Overwatch pro, he was also a member of the San Francisco Shock, along with minor organizations like Kungarna, Splyce, Ghost Gaming and more. Babybay also previously competed in Crossfire as a member of Carbon.

His peak performance in the Overwatch League came in 2019 while he was still part of the San Francisco Shock. His team placed second in the 2019 Stage 1 Playoffs. Along the way, babybay and his teammates defeated the following rosters before falling 4-3 the Vancouver Titans in the finals:

  • Seoul Dynasty
  • Toronto Defiant
  • Philadelphia Fusion

More infamously, babybay formerly played Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. While going by the gamer tag “flex,” he reportedly cheated on stream during an official tournament match. As a result, he was banned through the Valve Anti-Cheat system.
