Over the past few generations of Pokémon titles, it has been common to give older Pokémon new forms or evolutions.

Even as far back as Pokémon Gold and Silver with the baby forms of Pokémon found in Blue and Red versions, new forms of existing Pokémon are always bound to resonate with classic fans. Sometimes Pokémon are so popular that they get multiple new forms. Charizard is an example of this but there is now another more odd example in Scarlet and Violet.

Diglett and Dugtrio, who just received new Alolan forms in Pokémon Sun and Moon, have new forms in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet too. Here is how and where to find the new Wiglett and Wugtrio duo in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Wiglett and Wugtrio have traded out their ground typing for the exact opposite, water. Wiglett and Wugtrio also don’t maintain the classic Diglett look either. Going for length instead of width, Wiglett and Wugtrio also have new coloring, with Wiglett being white and Wugtrio being red.

Now that players know how to spot them, here is how to find them. For players that have seen them in-game before, either by finding them in the wild or battling them, they can check the location of these two Pokémon anytime through the game’s menu. Simply go to the Pokédex, scroll to either Wiglett or Wugtrio and hit the plus button on the controller. This will bring up the habitat map that has all the locations where players can find these Pokémon marked. For players that don’t have access to this, here are all the locations players can find them.

Since these two Pokémon are water-type, they are likely found near water sources, specifically on beaches. There are a few beaches in Paldea where players can find Wiglett and Wugtrio:

  • South Province – Area 1
  • South Province – Area 5
  • West Province – Area 1
  • West Province – Area 2
  • East Province – Area 1
  • East Province – Area 2
  • North Province – Area 1

On top of these areas, players can find Wiglett and Wugtrio near the East Paldean Sea and Casseroya Lake.
