Ever since Shipment was introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 back in Season 1, there has been a crowd of players that have only wanted to play the small and hectic map. Known for being a terrific map to drop 100-kill games and easily grind for camos, Shipment is a permanent map in any Sledgehammer or Infinity Ward title. As it’s such a popular map, most games have a dedicated Shipment 24/7 playlist where players can go to only play that map, and MW2 is included in this.

However, since the developers want players to experience other maps, the Shipment 24/7 playlist is on a rotation. This means that it’s not a permanent playlist and sometimes it will be removed from multiplayer to make room for another playlist. In the Season 2 update, the Shipment 24/7 playlist was replaced by the Season 2 Moshpit playlist, which has both new maps and a variety of modes available.

Shipment players want to know when their favorite map will be coming back in MW2, though.

Shipment 24/7 returning to MW2

As of right now, it’s not exactly clear when the next playlist update will be in MW2. Usually, the developers give players some time to experience a brand new playlist, and older ones don’t come back for multiple weeks in some cases.

For Shipment 24/7, we would expect it to return by the end of February. That would be roughly two weeks since the start of Season 2 and the last time that Shipment 24/7 was in MW2. It’s unclear what other playlists could be removed for Shipment 24/7 or if the devs will simply add that playlist to the current ones featured in multiplayer.

To sum up, if you’re a fan of Shipment, don’t expect to be without its 24/7 playlist for much longer. Although, we can never fully predict what the developers have in store, so we’ll have to wait and see.
