Another battle royale is entering the fold, and it seems to have the attention of the community. Hyper Scape, a new FPS being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, is set to release tomorrow, July 2. However, the release will only be available for a select group of streamers and creators. Huge personalities on Twitch are promoting the game and are seemingly on board for the initial launch.

Whether this continues in the future is yet to be seen, but it bodes well for Hyper Scape‘s beginning. A lingering question in the community, though, is when will the battle royale release to the public?

Hyper Scape and the beta period

The details around Hyper Scape are currently murky. We know that Twitch streamers and other creators have been heavily involved in the game’s development. Twitch is also being used as an integral part of the game’s core gameplay. The chat of a streamer playing the FPS will have the ability to significantly affect matches.

Aside from that, though, not much else is known. An open beta will reportedly arrive sometime in July after the streamers show Hyper Scape off on July 2. As previously stated, big names in the community are set to showcase gameplay and divulge other details.

It’s clear that Ubisoft has spared no expense when it comes to Hyper Scape‘s promotion. However, it has remained tight-lipped about when the game will release to the public. There are rumors that signing on the game’s official website will grant access to the beta. However, this has not been confirmed by any official channels.

As for when this beta will begin, we’re not quite sure. We can presume that streamers will show the game off on July 2 without any public interference. After that, however, a closed or open beta could begin. We’ll just have to wait for more details from Ubisoft. In the meantime, make sure to tune into the above streamers’ channels at 12:00 p.m. ET for our first look at Hyper Scape.
