Season 1 Reloaded of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 has been going on for close to a month, and the community is beginning to get restless. Originally, Season 1 began on Nov. 16, with Season 1 Reloaded following on Dec. 14. While the seasonal updates have delivered marginal amounts of content, fans are ready for a new Battle Pass, updates, and other content for both Warzone 2 and multiplayer. Unfortunately for them, Season 2 of Warzone 2 and MW2 is still a ways away.

As of right now, all we know about Season 2 is its release date. Activision has not hinted at what kinds of content could arrive in the new season. As for leaks, they’ve been few and far between, with insiders not reporting much as of late. This has embroiled Season 2 in mystery, and right now, the player base simply wants to know when they can get their hands on it.

Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 2 release date

By looking at the Season 1 Battle Pass, we can see that the current release date for Season 2 of Warzone 2 and MW2 is Wednesday, Feb. 1. This date makes perfect sense, as Activision likes to release new updates and seasons in the middle of the week rather than wait for the weekend.

It’s still likely that this release date could get pushed back if the developers face issues getting the update ready. However, we would say that’s unlikely, as it’s been quite a while since Call of Duty has seen a delay to a season.

As previously mentioned, it’s currently unclear what Season 2 could introduce to Warzone 2 and MW2 multiplayer. We know a new Battle Pass will replace the current one and new bundles will be released in the store. It’s also a foregone conclusion that at least two weapons will be added to the games and multiplayer will receive one or two new maps. Aside from that, anything is possible, including a new Warzone 2 map, weapon balancing updates, or new content for DMZ/Spec-Ops.

We’ll have to wait until near the end of January to hear anything official from Activision regarding Season 2.
