During your time in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, you will find several different collectible items that you might not know what to do with. One of those items will likely be Golden Cicada Shells, which have no apparent use at first glance. However, players are able to take the shells to a specific location on the map. The more Cicada Shells they bring to this location, the more rewards they will earn in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

To find out exactly where you need to take the Golden Cicada Shells in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, keep reading the guide below.

Where to take Golden Cicada Shells in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

In the first few hours of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, you will eventually reach the central hub location for the game, called the Hidden Village. You won’t find any enemies here, but instead, you’ll be able to accept and complete side quests, talk to NPCs, and upgrade your character.

In addition to all of that, you will also find the NPC that desperately requires the Golden Cicada Shells. They are extremely easy to miss, though, as you need to scale the large tower in the center of the Hidden Village. The large tower is covered with a giant vine, which you need to scale in order to reach the top. The vines are pretty linear, so as long as you keep following the direction they take you, you will reach the top in no time.

At the top, you’ll find a mysterious man who wants all the Golden Cicada Shells that you can offer. As you bring more of the shells to the man, they will give you better and better rewards, including weapons and other items. Once you have found all of the Golden Cicada Shells possible in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, you will earn the Ascension Achievement.
