After a weekend of running dungeons and racing against time, team W Omegalul became the World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon International Last Stand Tournament champions. This victory earned them the remaining spot in the WoW MDI Global Finals tournament, where a prize pool of $300,000 will be on the line.
W Omegalul goes undefeated in WoW MDI Last Stand Tournament
Throughout the weekend, W Omegalul went up against Depleter Squad, Ethical, Evolved and Yeppers, aiming for the best overall time across six dungeons. These included five dungeons from the Shadowlands expansion and Neltharion’s Lair from Legion.
W Omegalul players were in the lead on the first day of the event, achieving a total time of two hours, 20 minutes and 29 seconds across several dungeons. However, Evolved followed a close seven minutes behind. Meanwhile, Yeppers claimed third place at a little over three hours.
While Yeppers fought hard on the first day, the second day came close for them and Depleter Squad. The latter team took the bronze at two hours, 38 minutes and 23 seconds. This meant Yeppers were neck-and-neck against Ethical as they vied to move up in the ranks. W Omegalul stayed in the lead all Saturday, totaling just shy of two hours as they ran dungeons to beat their own record times.

When it all came down to championship Sunday, W Omegalul continued to rank first with Evolved on their tail. However, W Omegalul players pushed forward, getting the fastest time in Neltharion’s Lair and taking down bosses such as Ularogg Cragshaper and Naraxas. This was followed up by more dungeon runs in Neltharion’s Lair before W Omegalul dove all in for a swift clear in Tazavesh: So’leah’s Gambit. With a time of 11 minutes and 11 seconds, W Omegalul secured their lead in the Shadowlands dungeon before the time was up.
The Tazavesh: So’leah’s Gambit victory proved to be useful as every second counted. When the fastest time in each dungeon got added up, W Omegalul was at one hour, 39 minutes and seven seconds. They became the Last Stand Tournament champions and advanced to the World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon International global final. This means W Omegalul will join teams Long Ming, Donuts and Despair, Sloth, Monka, Perplexed, Echo and Baldy in the ultimate dungeon-running showdown from July 8-10.
