The second day of the Valorant First Strike: North America tournament is over, and we had one blowout on our hands and a closer, more exciting match. Both matches were full of excitement and big plays, and there was no shortage of talent.

Here’s what happened in the two matches, and which teams are moving forward.

Sentinels v FaZe Clan

Sentinels had a decent showing against FaZe Clan to open the second day of the Valorant First Strike: North America tournament. They won the first match on Bind 13-8 off of a nice clutch in the final round from former Overwatch League MVP Jay “Won” Sinatraa.

The second map was Split and it wasn’t quite as close, as Sentinels won the game 13-5 to take the match. FaZe Clan. Another former Overwatch pro, Andrej “Babybay” Francisty, had a great game for FaZe Clan, but it wasn’t enough to secure the victory to advance in the First Strike tourney.

100 Thieves v T1

The first game between 100 Thieves and T1 started out looking like another blowout, with T1 jumping out to a huge lead. 100 Thieves came back, however, with a 10-1 second half after going down 9-3 in the first half of Haven.

The second map was also exciting, both teams went neck to neck for the majority of the game. 100 Thieves definitely looked like the more consistent team, however, and was able to scrape a 13-10 victory to advance to the semifinals of the Valorant First Strike: North America tournament.
