Information about the dates and lengths of Valorant’s seasons and acts has been leaked by a dataminer. Reddit user Mang0eLeaks revealed his findings on the Valorant Reddit page on June 10. The user explains in the post that they found “ticks” in the game’s files that they subsequently converted into Z-time (Coordinated Universal Time).

Mang0eLeaks confirmed the veracity of this method by using it to successfully calculate the start date for Ignition: Act 1, which started June 1. This decoding could then be applied to find out when Act 1 officially ends and how many acts we can expect to see in the first season.

For reference, we had a general idea already for how long the acts will last from an article Valorant made regarding the battle pass. David Cole, one of Valorant’s game designers, revealed that we should see a new battle pass about every two months. This gave us a general idea of when the first act should finish but not a set date. Mang0eLeaks claims to know the exact date the first act will end according to the game files.

Valorant season end & start dates

Ignition’s season end and start dates are reportedly as follows:

  • First Act: June 1 – Aug. 4
  • Second Act: Aug. 4 – Oct. 13
  • Third Act: Oct. 13 – Jan. 12, 2021

If Ignition: Act 1 finishes on Aug. 4, this means that the first act will finish after two months, as David Cole suggested. Valorant’s second act of the season would then start after and expand another two months. Valorant will then finish the year with a third act that will end into the start of the new year. If these leaks are true, that would mean that we can apparently expect to see three acts per episode.
