Pokémon UNITE dataminer ElChicoEevee uncovered the next two Pokémon set to join the game as playable characters. Galar natives Urshifu and Dragapult will be the next characters to make their way to the Pokémon UNITE Public Test Server.

Alongside these two new Pokémon, a handful of balance changes will also soon make their way to the Public Test Server. Soon, playtesters will experience buffs or nerfs on the following Pokémon:

  • Dodrio
  • Mr. Mime
  • Zoroark
  • Sylveon
  • Blastoise
  • Duraludon
  • Mew
  • Gardevoir
  • Clefable
  • Slowbro

According to the screenshot ElChicoEevee shared on Tuesday, these changes will make their way into the Public Test Server on Thursday. As a result, playtesters will get a first look at how Urshifu and Dragapult function in Pokémon UNITE by the end of this week.

More about Urshifu and Dragapult in Pokémon UNITE

Based on the purple background depicted in its official character art, Urshifu will be an All-Rounder in Pokémon UNITE. It will start out as the pure Fighting-type Kubfu. As the battle progresses, the player can choose to evolve Kubfu into one of two Urshifu forms. Both the Fighting/Dark-type Single Strike Style and the Fighting/Water-type Rapid Strike Style will be available in Pokémon UNITE.

Meanwhile, Dragapult’s character art suggests that it will be an Attacker in Pokémon UNITE. This Ghost/Dragon-type pseudo-legendary Pokémon will start off as the unevolved Dreepy. Then, it will be able to evolve into Drakloak and eventually Dragapult over the course of the battle.

Recently, the Public Test Server has been responsible for new character announcements more so than The Pokémon Company itself. Both Zoroark and Sableye were leaked through the Public Test Server in September.

Zoroark launched in the game on October 27, while Sableye is likely to join sometime this month. As a result, it is possible that at least one of either Urshifu or Dragapult will fully make its way to Pokémon UNITE by the end of the year.
