According to sources close to the team, Team SoloMid is exploring options to return to the CSGO scene. Esports reporter Jarek “DeKay” Lewis would report that TSM was contacting various players who were benched on their respective teams.

This is some pretty exciting and surprising news for TSM fans and CSGO fans in general. Some of the best players in the world have been on TSM at one point in their career. For example, the main core of Astralis in Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth and Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz was on the team in 2015. Additionally, former FaZe Clan member Finn “karrigan” Andersen was also on that lineup.

When TSM would create a new all-American lineup in 2016, they would boast players like Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken and Timothy “autimatic” Ta. These two players have now turned into bonafide North American superstars in their own regard. It seems that TSM is planning to build another North American based team if reports are true.

TSM’s Possible Lineup with Tarik?

Further reports state that TSM has already contacted Tarik “tarik” Celik as a possible in-game leader. Rush B Media reports that the team has been “poking around the North American scene and is looking to be competitive“. Tarik was recently benched by MIBR after a lackluster 2018 season. He and Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip would both be relieved of their starting roster spots after the team would switch to a full Brazilian lineup and coach.

Tarik would be a great piece to start a team with, but who else could TSM acquire around him? Well, there are a few good players that have been recently benched or released by their team. For example, bringing back Finn “karrigan” Andersen could be a good choice. His experience on a top team like FaZe Clan could be essential for TSM’s success early on. Not to mention, Karrigan is still a very capable player who may only need a fresh start on a new team. Karrigan last played for Team Envy as a stand-in at the Americas Minor.

Additionally, players like Chris “chrisJ” de Jong, Martin “STYKO” Styk, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom and Kevin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans are all available for acquisition too. Although TSM may not take in all of these players due to a majority of them being in-game leaders, there are a few good options in the free agent pool.

Final Thoughts

A TSM CSGO return could be great for the organization and its fans. A core of Tarik, Karrigan, ScreaM, STYKO, and chrisJ could make some waves if this roster does materialize. The only problem that TSM will have is the lack of firepower in the lineup. Unless they can attract a big name player to join the team, they could struggle in that regard. However, this is still great news for the scene as a whole. We will keep you all updated on the situation, should there be any developments in terms of rosters or coaching staff!
