It looks like TSM will be entering the competitive Rocket League scene this coming year. The team announced their new roster earlier today and will be participating in the Rocket League Championship Series over in Europe.

We’re beyond excited to continue our journey under the TSM brand. It’s one of the biggest and most respected organizations out there with an amazing and loyal fanbase. We’re stoked to help bring the brand into Rocket League, and we will do everything we can to make the organization and its fans proud. Definitely, this is a dream come true for all of us”, the new team would say in a statement. The team is made up of some highly decorated veterans of the scene.

Meet the Team!

TSM’s Rocket League team consists of Remco “remkoe” den Boer, Jordan “EyeIgnite” Stellon and Otto “Metsanauris” Kaipiainen. The three players last played for We Dem Girlz, who was a top three team last year in the world. It is a tight race between TSM, Cloud9, and Dignitas as the best team in the world. Back in November, Cloud9 was able to prevail over both We Dem Girlz and Dignitas for the RLCS Season Six Championship. However, this roster did manage to capture the 2018 ELEAGUE Cup at the start of December.

Incredible Résumés

As for the individual players, Remkoe is a former World Champion back with Northern Gaming in Season Three of the RLCS. He also has the most World Championship appearances of any European player and has multiple top-three finishes in his career. He is one of the best players in the Rocket League scene today. Metsanauris was also a very accomplished player, who had never won a Major until joining We Dem Girlz.

2017 would be a pretty eventful year for Metsanauris. He would place second in the first season of the Rocket League Universal Open and place second at the European Rocket League Championship Series for Season Four. He would end 2017 with, again, a second place finish at the World Championships behind Gale Force Esports. In April 2018, he would join CompLexity Gaming for several tournaments but he wouldn’t find the same kind of success. He would end up joining We Dem Girlz and help the team become one of the best in the scene.

Finally, EyeIgnite was on Team Envy for most of the 2018 season. He would join We Dem Girlz in August, after helping bring Envy to the Season Five World Championships. He has been a key addition, who has pushed WDG to new heights this year, including second place at the European Regional Championship, and third in the Season Six World Championships. It would all culminate into the team’s victory at the ELEAGUE Cup, where they were able to take down Cloud9 in a pretty dominant 4-1 series win.

Final Thoughts

For many TSM fans, this was a move that plenty expected. However, many TSM fans are not as familiar with the esport of Rocket League. However, TSM was able to acquire one of the best lineups in the world, so look out for them this year. They may be heading towards the domination of another esport!
