CSGO teams Tricked and GODSENT are through to the semi-finals of DreamHack Open Winter in Sweden after finishing first in group A and group B respectively.

GODSENT off to a promising start with new lineup

GODSENT has recently returned to CSGO after a long hiatus from the company’s operations on the scene. The organization that was in part set up by CSGO legend Markus pronax” Wallsten attained an extremely promising roster. Composed of the likes of Martin “STYKO” Styk and Mikail “Maikelele” Bill, the ex-SMASH Esports lineup is already off to a hot start at DreamHack Open Winter.

Beginning with a very convincing win over CR4ZY 16-7, one of the favorites of the tournament, GODSENT carried over their mojo onto the second game. There, they faced SJ Gaming on Nuke. Despite an impressive performance from Tony “arvid” Niemelä and Jesse “KHRN” Grandell, GODSENT overcame the Finns after STYKO’s and Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amend’s carry on the map. The two victories have guaranteed the European medley a safe passage to the semi-finals where they will face the 2nd place qualifier from Group A at DreamHack Open Winter.

Tricked continue to impress at DreamHack

The Tricked lineup has been on the rise. A mostly young team led by Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen has recently risen in the rankings as the team is placed #22 following a lost final at WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 2 Finals against GODSENT. To add to this, the roster was recently bought for $300,000 by a buyer that still remains undisclosed. This shows the team’s talent, and they are definitely showing it at the event in Sweden.

Tricked first defeated forZe 16-10 on Overpass before barely clinching out the match against FURIA 16-14, also on Overpass. The second game was an exciting one, with both teams playing equally well. In the end, it was Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand’s and Lucas “Bubzkji” Andersen’s 30 and 28 frags respectively that secured the match victory for the Danish Tricked lineup. Tricked have qualified straight to the semi-finals where they will face the second placed team of Group B.
