It was a major weekend in Toronto for esports at the EGLX. Se-hyeon “Neko” Park and Kang-jae “envy” Lee are the first two players revealed for the Toronto Defiant roster. It was a trickle of information towards this moment from the first press release by Enthusiast Gaming and the reveal of branding and Toronto Defiant team colors at a private event a few days earlier. That said, now Toronto Overwatch fans finally have an idea of who they’ll be cheering for come the new season of Overwatch League in 2019.

Who’s Fighting For Toronto Defiant?
It was on October 27, 2018 that Toronto Defiant revealed two of their players at EGLX and on Twitch livestream.
We already knew that the supporting staff of Toronto Defiant would include Beoumjun “Bishop” Lee as Head Coach, Jaesun “Jae” Won as General Manager, Yun “Bubbly” Ho Cho as Assistant Manager, Dongwook “Don” Kim as Strategic Coach, and Analyst Dennis “Barroi” Matz. Now, we know at least some of the players who will be carrying this Overwatch League team in events.
The first two players to be introduced to the Toronto Defiant team were Neko and Envy.

Se-hyeon “Neko” Park is coming over to Toronto from Boston Uprising. A support, Neko is a pretty potent Zenyatta/Ana/Sombra player that helped heal and support the Boston Uprising to a 3rd place in the Inaugural Overwatch league season, while helping the team arrive at a 5th/6th place in the Playoffs.
Meanwhile, Kang-jae “envy” Lee is a Flex Tank coming over from the Los Angeles Valiant, where he had a hand in helping the team take 1st-3rd place in the Overwatch League Preseason. His hero specialties include D.Va, Zarya, and Roadhog.
Toronto’s Overwatch League Debut
With the roster reveal all but out of the way now, Toronto Defiant is ready to make their debut in Overwatch League’s second season. Seven other teams are joining the Defiant in making Year Two of Overwatch League more amazing and competitive than ever, including the recently revealed Atlanta and Paris teams. Will Toronto’s team stand out among the crowd? Time will tell, but fans around the world are ready to see what new and old teams will do when the new season begins.
