When Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific integrated, the Kar98k from Modern Warfare received a twin. The Kar98k from Vanguard entered the weapon pool and now players have the difficult choice of choosing between the two. While both weapons have their quality traits, the Vanguard Kar98k might be slightly faster in terms of mobility. However, in order to make it this way, players need to equip one specific attachment they usually wouldn’t think to throw on their Kar98k loadout.

The attachment buff was discovered by none other than Call of Duty YouTuber JGOD. The authority on stats in Warzone, JGOD recently found that the night vision scope makes the Kar98k a faster weapon overall. After this recent discovery, players will likely be seeing more of it on Caldera.

Night-vision scope provides buff to Kar98k in Warzone Pacific

JGOD published his findings of the night-vision scope on Twitter. The scope allows players to aim down sights 250 milliseconds faster than if they run the default scope on the Kar98k. That’s a substantial contrast and can certainly make the difference in a gunfight.

As players can see, they’ll be gaining around a 40% increase in ADS time when running the night-vision scope compared to the default one. However, JGOD also found that pretty much any optic on the Kar98k provides a faster ADS time than the default scope. The night-vision scope simply offers the biggest increase.

The night-vision scope allows players to see enemies who are in darker areas much better. Their scope will turn black and white and the outline of enemies will be bright white. While it might take some time to get used to, if players plan on using the Vanguard Kar98k, they’ll want to equip the night-vision scope to maximize their mobility.
