The Pokémon Players Cup III qualifiers are over and the entrants are ready to compete. Here’s how to watch all the competitive Pokémon action.

The cup takes place over two separate events: the Region Finals and the Global Finals. The Region Finals take place on April 10 and 11 beginning at 11:00 a.m. PDT each day. Players who make the cut at the Region finals will compete in the Global Finals. These broadcasts air from April 23 to 25 starting at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

Fans can catch the broadcasts on the official Pokémon Twitch and YouTube channels. The Region Finals broadcast will not cover each and every match, but rather specific matches happening at a certain time. During the Global Final, each match will be broadcast.

The Pokémon Players Cup III will have a talent team commenting on the matches. They will help viewers understand all the battles and content. Here is the current broadcast team:

  • Aaron Zheng
  • Lee Provost
  • Lou Cromie
  • Chip Richey
  • Ethan Hegyi
  • Joe Bernard
  • Ross Gilbert
  • Brendan “Burnside” Hansen
  • Evan “WonderChef” Hashimoto
  • Victoria “Vikkikitty” Perez

Many of these casters are professional players or have been casting for a long time. They are knowledgeable about the games and help enhance the viewing experience.

How the Pokémon Players Cup III works

For the last few months, players have had the opportunity to qualify for the cup in either Pokémon Sword and Shield, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online or Pokkén Tournament DX. All qualifying players will have a chance to compete at the Region Finals for their respective regions.

The top four players from each Region will advance to compete in the Global Final for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online and Pokémon Sword and Shield. The top four players from North America, three players from Europe and one player from Oceania will advance to the Pokkén Tournament DX Global Finals.

Tournament winners will earn a Travel Award to a future live international championship of their choice.
