The GAMERS GALAXY: Dota 2 Invitational Series Dubai 2022 has concluded its group stage matches after two days of exciting play. Here is how the playoff bracket will look for the first international tournament since The International 10 in 2021.
Playoff brackets are decided for GAMERS GALAXY: Dota 2 Invitational
Upper bracket
The upper bracket matches of the GAMERS GALAXY: Dota 2 invitational will be played with the top two finishers from each group. In Group A, Nigma Galaxy and Tundra Esports top the groups, with three wins to one loss each. Tundra only lost to Nigma Galaxy in their best-of-one matchup, and Nigma Galaxy only lost to previous International winners Team Spirit.
In Group B, Boom Esports looked like the most dominant team in the tournament, racking up three straight wins to put themselves at the top of the group. Their strategy surrounding Kunkka, Mirana, and Mars has yet to be broken. Their average match time of 30 minutes is four minutes faster than the tournament average, according to Spectral.gg.
The second upper bracket team from Group B is OG Esports. The young team has one of the most diverse hero pools in the tournament. They have run a lot of Omniknight and Leshrac with Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov’s signature Invoker, in order to hit an early push timing, and they have built advantages through this strategy. However, they lost a game to the weakest team in the group, Nigma Galaxy SEA, putting Boom Esports in a dominant position coming out of Group B.
Nigma Galaxy will face OG Esports in the first match of the upper bracket at 5 a.m EST on Friday.
Boom Esports will face Tundra Esports in the second match of the upper bracket at 8:00 a.m EST on Friday.

Lower bracket
The remaining four teams in the tournament played a play-in bracket to decide the two final spots in the lower bracket of the GAMERS GALAXY: Dota 2 Invitational playoffs. Team Spirit took out Galaxy Racer SEA in a swift 2-0 sweep to secure their place in the lower bracket.
On the other hand, Team Secret narrowly made it out of the play-in against North American favorites TSM FTX. The final game of the series looked like it was securely in the hands of TSM FTX but Enzo “Timado” Gianoli O’Connor’s Terrorblade was caught out twice in a short span of time. This left TSM FTX’s win condition without buyback. Team Secret were able to rally in the final minutes to secure their spot in the playoffs.
Team Secret and Team Spirit now await the loser of the first upper bracket series.
