The weapon balancing patch notes for the Season 5 update of Call of Duty: Warzone delivered a series of nerfs and buffs to some of the game’s most recognizable weapons. The Armaguerra 43 and KG M40 were among the most noticeable weapons to receive a nerf in the update. Conversely, the Vargo-S was one of the only guns to receive a buff in Season 5, which has caused some Warzone players to revisit its best loadout.

The Vargo-S arrived in Warzone via the Season 4 Reloaded update. However, unlike many other new additions to the game, the Vargo-S received little to no attention from the community. It was seen as a non-meta gun almost right away, leading to few players equipping its top loadout. With new stats in Season 5, though, it might be time for the Vargo-S to get a fair shot in Warzone.

To see the full loadout for the Vargo-S in Warzone Season 5, keep reading below.

Best Vargo-S loadout in Warzone

The Vargo-S received arguably the biggest buff in the Season 5 update. A plethora of attachments for the AR were buffed, along with its base minimum damage and neck damage multiplier. Here are the damage buffs as laid out in the patch notes:

  • Min Damage increased to 22, up from 20
  • Neck Damage Multiplier increased to 1.5, up from 1.3

These buffs combined with buffs to key attachments on the Vargo-S have changed the AR’s best loadout in Warzone.

  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: Mirzoyan 414mm Custom
  • Optic: G16 2.5x
  • Stock: Mirzoyan ANC
  • Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
  • Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 50 Round Drums
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Hatched Grip
  • Perk: Hardscope
  • Perk 2: On-Hand

The biggest change that players will see with this loadout is the 6.5mm Sakura 50 Round Drums, as they now have more bullets in each magazine. The barrel is also noteworthy, since a buff to the Mirzoyan 414mm Custom includes no damage penalty and a reduced sprint to fire penalty. With these attachments in place and the buffs from the Season 5 update, the Vargo-S just might break into the weapon meta of Warzone.
