Since this current version of Call of Duty: Warzone is coming to an end in just a short couple of months, players have begun to use off-meta weapons fairly consistently. Weapons that were once in the basement of the pick rates are now steadily climbing the charts. A main reason for this is content creators making videos that highlight these underused weapons. Recently, one YouTuber showcased the UGR, which actually got a buff in Season 5 that makes its loadout a viable option in Warzone.

The UGR originates from Black Ops Cold War and never really received a fair shot in Warzone. It was a post-launch weapon that didn’t get much attention from the community; however, the Nuke Squad’s FaZe Booya has pegged the UGR as an underrated sub-machine gun after its buff in Season 5. While guns like the PPSh-41 and Armaguerra 43 are still the best SMG picks, the UGR is worth a secondary slot on a map like Rebirth Island or Fortune’s Keep. Of course, that’s only if players are using the UGR’s best set of attachments, which were laid out by FaZe Booya in their latest video.

To see the full loadout for the UGR in Warzone Season 5, keep reading below.

Best UGR loadout in Warzone

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel: 12.8″ VDV Reinforced
  • Optic: Microflex LED
  • Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock
  • Magazine: Explosive Flechettes

The UGR received a buff to its magazine size in Season 5, which FaZe Booya cites as the main reason he started to look at the SMG. In the UGR’s loadout, players can use the Explosive Flechettes, which give players 14 extra bullets in each clip and give players some extra damage per bullet. This drastically boosts the UGR’s time-to-kill in Warzone, making it a solid backup choice to a primary assault rifle.
