One of the early surprises in Call of Duty: Warzone’s assault rifle class has been the rise of the STG44 in Season 5. While it was technically nerfed in the Season 5 weapon balancing update, the STG44 has become a popular weapon among fans; at the time of writing, the STG is the seventh most-picked weapon in the entirety of Warzone, according to the website WZRanked. This is mainly due to the STG44 having a steady loadout in Warzone that any player can use with efficiency.

The STG44’s rise in popularity can also be attributed to a large number of assault rifles being nerfed in Season 5. While the STG also falls into that category, it wasn’t hit nearly as hard as others, like the KG M40. The exact nerfs for the STG44 were to its attachments. However, out of those nerfs, only one of the AR’s top attachments was affected. Essentially, players can expect the same performance from the STG44 as they experienced in previous seasons. Of course, in order to achieve that performance, players need to use certain attachments.

To see the full loadout for the STG44 in Warzone Season 5, keep reading below.

Best STG44 loadout in Warzone

  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: VDD 760mm 05B
  • Optic: G16 2.5x
  • Stock: VDD 34S Weighted
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 60 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Hatched Grip
  • Proficiency: Vital
  • Kit: Fully Loaded

As players who have used this STG44 loadout previously in Warzone, there are not many weaknesses when these attachments are equipped together. Players see an increase in damage range, recoil control, magazine size, and aiming stability. If players want to improve their long-range abilities, though, they can swap out the G16 2.5x scope for the SVT-40 PU 3-6x Scope. Either way, the STG44 should remain amongst the top ARs in Season 5 unless Raven Software makes some drastic changes.
