Sniping in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has become extremely popular since the game was released. Snipers are incredibly powerful in MW2, both in the regular sniper rifle class and the marksman rifle class. There are some snipers that are considered a step above the rest, though, and the Signal 50 certainly falls into that category. The Signal 50 is a semi-automatic sniper that packs a ridiculous punch, especially when equipped with its best loadout in Modern Warfare 2.

While there are better overall snipers in MW2, there are perhaps none that can match the sheer power that the Signal 50 packs in every shot. You’ll rarely get a hitmarker with the Signal 50, which can’t be said for a majority of the other snipers in multiplayer. However, in order to get the Signal 50 to this amount of power, players need to equip its recommended set of attachments.

To see the full loadout for the Signal 50 in Modern Warfare 2, keep reading below.

Best Signal 50 loadout in Modern Warfare 2

As the Signal 50 is so bulky, it’s not recommended to quick scope with this loadout. This particular sniper is quite slow, so it’s best to stay at long range and pick enemies off from a distance. However, with the current state of MW2, I have equipped several mobility attachments to make quickscoping more viable.

  • Barrel: 21.5″ Fluted Fifty
  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Stock: SO Inline Stock
  • Rear Grip: SA Finesse Grip
  • Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90

The main attributes that are increased with this loadout are mobility and damage range. The 21.5″ Fluted Fifty barrel boosts the latter of those stats, while the SO Inline Stock and FSS OLE-V Laser improve mobility.

The great aspect about this loadout is you can use it at any range, so don’t worry too much about where you are on the map when the Signal 50 is out.

As a final note, you can use the Signal 50 in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
