Quickscoping has remained one of the more popular ways to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Ever since the game launched in October, snipers have been running rampant on every map and mode available in multiplayer. This is especially evident in the Shipment Moshpit playlist that currently exists in MW2. On Shipment, and any other one, players will run into all manner of snipers. However, the most frequent one they’ll likely see is the SA-B 50, which has emerged as one of the best quickscoping sniper in multiplayer. The SA-B 50 is a marksman rifle that can obliterate an enemy team in a matter of seconds, especially when players equip its strongest loadout for MW2.

The SA-B 50 started out MW2 as the second-best marksman rifle, sitting behind the overpowered SP-R 208. However, Season 1 has seen the guns change places, as more players enjoy the SA-B 50’s performance more so than the SP-R’s. The SA-B 50 seemingly gets less hitmarkers and has better mobility, making it the clear-cut best option for quickscopers.

However, players will need some extra stat boosts if they truly want to bring out the SA-B 50’s good side.

Best SA-B 50 loadout in MW2

As with any quickscoping sniper, I’ll be aiming to increase the SA-B 50’s mobility with its loadout. This makes quickscoping much easier, as players can aim down sights with more speed.

  • Barrel: 12.5″ Carbon Barrel
  • Laser: Corio LAZ-44 V3
  • Stock: XRK Specter Mod
  • Rear Grip: Schlager Match Grip
  • Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt

This loadout only increases the SA-B 50’s aim down sights speed and sprint-to-fire time. Players also see an increase in their fire rate with the FSS ST87 Bolt, allowing them to fire the gun in succession much faster.

As a final note, you can use the SA-B 50 in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
