There are two shotguns in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta, being the Lockwood 680 and the Riveter. The Lockwood 680 is your classic pump-action shotgun that every Call of Duty fan either loves or hates and the Riveter is a semi-automatic choice that can deliver some harsh damage at close range. If you have been looking to rock the Riveter during the Modern Warfare 3 beta, then you want to make sure you’re equipping its best overall loadout.

The Riveter and the Lockwood 680 are both strong shotguns, but the Riveter has seemingly been picked far less than its weapon class counterpart. This is likely due to the fact that pump-action shotguns are simply more popular than semi-auto ones. However, if you want to make the Riveter a better choice than the Lockwood, then using the right set of attachments is the easiest way to do that.

Best Riveter loadout in the Modern Warfare 3 beta

  • Barrel: Pneumatic Integrated Suppressor
  • Stock: DAV15 Light Tactical Stock
  • Magazine: 30 Round Mag
  • Ammunition: 410 Gauge Ball
  • Rear Grip: XTEN Grip

This is a fairly basic loadout for the Riveter in MW3, as there aren’t too many useful attachments unlocked for the shotgun in the beta. However, all of your pertinent stats are increased with this loadout, so you don’t have to worry about any one key area when using the gun.

Your bullet velocity, damage range, mobility, and hip-fire accuracy are all improved, which are the most important stats for a shotgun. I have also equipped the 30 Round Mag, which makes it so you rarely have to reload the Riveter and can just worry about sinking as many shots as needed into an enemy to get the kill.
