The light machine gun class in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has begun to gain some traction over the past few weeks. Since the initial release of MW2, players have begun to see more and more light machine guns in multiplayer matches. This is either because players are using them to earn camos or because they enjoy the weapons in the class. One of the more common LMGs to see in Modern Warfare 2 is the RAPP-H, which has a fantastic loadout for multiplayer.

The RAPP-H is unlocked via the Lachmann Meer Weapon Platform, which mostly consists of the Lachmann weapons. The RAPP-H is a pure light machine gun, featuring slower mobility, high accuracy, and decent damage range. However, players could use it as a larger assault rifle if they really wanted to. Of course, they might be losing some of the RAPP-H’s best stats if they do this. Luckily, there’s a set of attachments that lets players boost the RAPP-H’s weaknesses while keeping its strengths intact.

Best RAPP-H loadout in Modern Warfare 2

  • Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Pro/ Slimline Pro/ SZ Mini
  • Stock: FT Mobile Stock
  • Underbarrel: DI-Grip 4.5
  • Rear Grip: LMK 64

The first attachment on the loadout, the Sakin Tread-40, is purely there to increase both horizontal and vertical recoil control. This comes at a cost of mobility, but we can easily make that up by using the FT Mobile Stock and the LMK 64 rear grip. Those two attachments boost aim down sights speed and sprint-to-fire time, giving the RAPP-H a much better chance at close-mid range gunfights. We have the DI-Grip 4.5 to further boost accuracy and stability while the optic is a basic red dot. However, we’ve offered a few alternatives in case players don’t have some of them unlocked.

As a final note, you can use the RAPP-H in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
