There’s a long list of weapons from Black Ops Cold War that don’t see much use anymore in Call of Duty: Warzone. While these guns certainly aren’t unusable by any stretch, the newer weapons from Vanguard have simply overtaken the game. Things will likely stay this way until the arrival of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 later this year. Before those games come to fruition, though, players might want to try and revisit some old favorite guns in Warzone. There might not be a better starting place for that than with the OTs 9. The former dominant SMG of Warzone, the OTs 9 still has a viable loadout in Season 4.

The OTs 9 lost its place in the meta as soon as Vanguard integrated with Warzone. After that happened, its pick rate fell off a cliff, and players haven’t really gone back to it since. While the OTs 9 isn’t as strong of an option as guns like the H4 Blixen and Welgun, it can still serve a purpose as a mobile and fast-firing SMG in Warzone. Of course, in order to keep pace with the other SMGs in the meta, the OTs needs all the help it can get from its attachments.

Best OTs 9 loadout in Warzone

Despite not having a pick rate above 1%, the OTs 9 is arguably the strongest SMG from Cold War. It has terrific mobility, a high fire rate, and moderate damage range. This combination makes for a great option on the smaller maps of Warzone.

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel: 8.1” Task Force
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock
  • Ammunition: VDV 40 Rnd Fast Mag

The main purpose of the OTs 9 loadout is to increase its damage range and mobility. With these two stats increased, it can compete better with some of the current meta Vanguard SMGs in Warzone.
