The meta for Ranked Play in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has begun to open up since the professional CDL season ended in July. While the majority of players are still running the standard TAQ-56 and Vaznev-9K, other players are beginning to fall back on off-meta weapons. Guns such as the Kastov 545 and VEL 46 are appearing in the killfeed more frequently than ever. If players want to continue to shake up the meta in Ranked Play, they should consider running the Minibak submachine gun and its best overall loadout.

The Minibak is an intriguing submachine gun, especially for Ranked Play. While it’s not nearly as strong as the Vaznev or even the VEL 46, it has a large magazine, terrific recoil control, and average damage, making it a well-rounded gun for most situations. However, if you want to excel with the Minibak, you want to use its best attachments.

To see the full loadout for the Minibak in Modern Warfare 2, keep reading below.

Best Minibak loadout for MW2 Ranked Play

  • Muzzle: AVR-T90 Comp
  • Barrel: BAK-9 279MM
  • Stock: Oztrezat Stock
  • Rear Grip: True Tac Grip

The most important attachment on this loadout is the BAK-9 279MM barrel. While generally, SMGs don’t require a barrel in Ranked, the Minibak is different. Players will need as much damage range as possible if they want to compete with the Vaznev, making this barrel a necessity. It increases both damage range and recoil control while slightly hindering mobility. The AVR-T90 Comp muzzle also reduces mobility in order to improve recoil control.

Fortunately, the Oztrezat Stock and True Tac Grip make up any mobility deficits. Both attachments boost aim down sights time and sprint-to-fire speed, giving the Minibak great mobility when everything is said and done. Moreover, you don’t even have to equip a fifth attachment since the Minibak’s base magazine offers so many bullets by default.

While the Minibak won’t turn any heads in Ranked Play, this loadout is a terrific alternative to the Vaznev and VEL 46.
