There are dozens of underused weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone, most of which stem from either Black Ops Cold War or Modern Warfare. Since Vanguard is the current game in the main series, Raven Software updates those weapons more than others. However, this doesn’t mean that Vanguard guns are the best to use in terms of kill/death ratio. According to the site WZ Ranked, one Cold War light machine gun has cracked the top-10 list of Warzone’s best KDR weapons. That LMG is the MG 82, which has a meta loadout in Season 3 Reloaded of Warzone.

The MG 82 was famously overpowered during Black Ops Cold War’s life cycle in 2021. However, after a series of nerfs and Vanguard being introduced, the MG 82 has fallen off of a cliff in terms of overall usage. In Season 3, the MG 82 has a pick rate of just 0.05%, which is among the lowest in Warzone. However, the Cold War LMG has an overall KDR of 1.15, which currently sits at ninth in the entire game. The LMG has gotten that number from players using its best loadout.

Best MG 82 loadout in Warzone

As players who used the MG 82 in 2021, they’ll remember this loadout fondly. It still holds up in 2022, despite other light machine guns featuring different loadouts.

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 16.4″ Task Force
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap

This loadout looks to increase the overall damage, range, recoil control, and mobility of the MG 82. It also suppresses shots using the Agency Suppressor and has the Axial Arms 3x scope for a great medium-long range sight. This MG 82 loadout is perfect for Caldera but can also be brought out on Rebirth Island as long as players keep their distance and have an SMG/pistol as a backup.
