With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 quickly approaching, it might be prudent for players to reacquaint themselves with some Modern Warfare weapons. While some Modern Warfare guns have found their way into the meta of Warzone Season 5, others are still on the fringe. If players want to fully prepare for the arrival of MW2 and Warzone 2 later this year, then they might want to use some weapons we know will be included in those games. One weapon that’s a guaranteed lock to be included is the M4A1, which has become a staple of any Modern Warfare title. The M4A1 has a classic loadout in Warzone, but newer players might not know what it is.

The M4A1 has remained popular among Warzone players, despite being two and a half years old at this point. Just like the Kilo 141 or M13 from Modern Warfare, the M4A1 is a consistent AR that a player of any skill level can use effectively. The rifle has little recoil, tremendous damage range, and a moderate fire rate. As of right now, the M4 is in the top 15 of the most-picked weapons in Warzone. As MW2 draws closer, though, the M4 could begin to ascend that list.

To see the full loadout for the M4A1 in Warzone Season 5, keep reading below.

Best M4A1 loadout in Warzone

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Stock M16 Grenadier
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 60 Round Mags

This is the standard loadout for any Modern Warfare assault rifle. The only aspect of the loadout that varies from rifle to rifle is the barrel. The Stock M16 Grenadier is the best choice for the M4A1 due to its ability to increase the gun’s damage range. While other ARs are certainly more popular, the M4A1 can hold its own with any of them in Warzone Season 5.
