One of the most infamous weapons in the entire Call of Duty franchise is the 725 shotgun from Modern Warfare 2019.
At the game’s launch, and for several weeks after, the 725 wreaked havoc throughout multiplayer. It had the ability to one-shot opponents across the map, even though it was a shotgun. The weapon was eventually nerfed, but it certainly left its mark. But when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 came out, a similar weapon to the 725 was seen in the shotgun class.
The Lockwood 300 scared many players, as they didn’t want a repeat of the 725 fiasco. Luckily, the Lockwood 300 is much tamer, but still has a devastatingly strong loadout in Modern Warfare 2.
Like the 725, the Lockwood 300 is a double-barrel shotgun, meaning it only has two slugs in the chamber before needing to reload. As players level up the Lockwood, they’ll find that they usually need to use both slugs to kill an enemy unless they’re at close range. However, with the proper attachments in place, players will be able to kill enemies with one slug from much farther away.
Best Lockwood 300 loadout in Modern Warfare 2
We’ve designed this loadout mostly for mobility purposes. Since the shotgun only has two slugs, players need to be mobile in case they need to escape from a sticky situation.
- Muzzle: Sakin DB107
- Barrel: 711mm Matuzek D50
- Laser: STOVL Tac Laser
- Stock: Heist Stock Mod
- Underbarrel: VX Pineapple
The loadout begins with the Sakin DB107 muzzle and the 711m Matuzek D50 barrel. These two attachments significantly improve the Lockwood’s damage range and gives it a tighter pellet spread. That’s followed up by the STOVL Tac Laser and the Heist Stock Mod; these attachments improve the shotgun’s mobility at the cost of some recoil control. That loss is gained back by using the VX Pineapple underbarrel, though.
