The Lachman 556 was arguably the least-used assault rifle throughout the recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer beta. Many players only used it in order to unlock the Lachmann Sub, which is easily the best SMG in the game at this point. However, while the Lachmann 556 isn’t considered the best assault rifle, it still holds some value as a consistent weapon that players can use to great effect.

Of course, in order to do that, players will need to use the best loadout for the Lachmann 556 in Modern Warfare 2.

Any fan of Modern Warfare 2019 will likely recognize the Lachmann 556 as the C58 rifle. The new version of the AR performs very similarly to the C58, featuring low recoil, moderate damage range, and a decent fire rate. It also has terrific iron sights, which lets players free up an attachment on their loadout since they don’t need to use an optic. As for the rest of the attachments on the loadout, players need to take advantage of every possible stat increase to make the Lachmann 556 more competitive with the other ARs in MW2.

Best Lachmann 556 loadout in Modern Warfare 2

The strongest loadout for the Lachmann 556 excels in both close and long-range gunfights. However, as with any rifle, players want to try and keep their engagements in medium range to get the most out of the Lachmann 556.

  • Muzzle: Forge-Tac Castle Comp
  • Barrel: LM Aurora 90
  • Stock: Hmann S9 Factory Stock
  • Underbarrel: VX Pineapple Vert Grip
  • Rear Grip: LMK64 Grip
  • Receiver: LM-16

With these attachments in place, players immediately gain better accuracy, mobility, damage range and bullet velocity. The LM Aurora 90 barrel gives the boost to damage range and bullet velocity while the Force-Tac Castle Comp and XV Pineapple Vert Grip increase accuracy. While the Lachmann 556 isn’t a part of the MW2 meta right now, a buff to its overall stats and this loadout could certainly make it a meta weapon.
