One of the weapons to get hit the hardest in the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 update was the KG M40 assault rifle. Prior to Season 5, the KG M40 dominated the streets of Warzone, skyrocketing to the most-picked weapon in the entire game over the course of one season. However, this dominance was short-lived, as Raven Software nerfed the KG M40 in multiple ways. While this certainly has impacted the performance of the KG M40, it has not affected its place in the Warzone meta or its top loadout.

The developers chose to hit the KG M40 where it hurts the most: damage. The KG’s minimum damage was decreased by two points, going from 25 to 23. However, the AR’s sprint-to-fire time was interestingly buffed by a slim margin as well. In addition to those changes, the KG M40 saw a number of its top-rated attachments undergo alterations. Most of these attachment changes had a direct impact on accuracy, which makes the gun harder to control if players equip those attachments. Even with those nerfs, though, the KG M40 still has a terrific meta loadout in Season 5.

To see the full loadout for the KG M40 in Warzone Season 5, keep reading below.

Best KG M40 loadout in Warzone

  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: Krausnick 700mm 01V
  • Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x
  • Stock: Krausnick 12V
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 8mm Klauser 60 Round Drums
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Perk: Brace
  • Perk2: Fully Loaded

The only attachment on this loadout that was nerfed in Season 5 is the 8mm Klauser 60 Round Drums. Luckily, the mags didn’t have any accuracy changes, just some small alterations to movement speed and ADS time. The rest of the loadout remains unchanged from previous seasons, and players should continue to see great results when using the AR. However, it might take slightly longer to kill enemies with the minimum damage nerf that was applied in Season 5.
