The KG M40 assault rifle from Call of Duty: Vanguard received a sizeable buff in the Season 4 update of Warzone. While the weapon was already relatively strong in the battle royale, its new changes put it on the verge of being a meta weapon in Season 4. These changes largely centered around increasing the KG M40’s damage profile, to put it more in line with other top ARs in Warzone; as a result, the KG M40 now possesses a top-rated loadout in Warzone.

The loadout for the KG M40 from previous seasons won’t change much, but there are some new attachments players will want to equip. These new attachments mainly come from the patch notes, as they also received some buffs and nerfs specifically for the KG M40. Though not every buffed attachment will be featured on the AR’s best loadout, this does give players some freedom in what to select.

Best loadout for the KG M40 in Warzone

The buffs for the KG M40 in Season 4 are as follows:

  • Min Damage increased to 26, up from 24
  • Recoil intensity adjusted to account for less reliance on Tight Grip

As previously stated, the damage is what was mainly changed on the KG M40. The recoil control of Tight Grip was also decreased recently, meaning players who equip that attachment will notice more weapon kick.

  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: Krausnick 700mm 01V
  • Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x
  • Stock: Krausnick 12V
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 8mm Klauser 60 Round Drums
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Perk: Brace
  • Perk2: Fully Loaded

There are three main changes in this loadout from the KG M40’s previous meta loadout; the Krausnick 700mm 01V barrel is new since it had its damage range increased by 5% with Season 4; the M1941 Hand Stop is in place to offer the KG M40 extra recoil, since we are no longer using Tight Grip; in Tight Grip’s place is Brace, which also offers extra recoil control, but not as much.
