The Season 5 update arrived earlier this week in Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing a plethora of changes to the battle royale. While the new weapons and other content certainly highlight the update, the weapon balancing patch notes were also noteworthy in their own right. Raven Software decided to largely nerf a chunk of weapons in Warzone, while only buffing a select few. One of the weapons to receive a buff was the Grau 5.56, which now seemingly has a meta loadout in Warzone Season 5.

The Grau 5.56 has always been around the meta in Warzone ever since it was first introduced in 2020. However, as more and more weapons began to get added to Warzone, the Grau fell behind in many aspects. Through various buffs and nerfs, though, the Grau now appears to be in the meta once again. For fans that have the assault rifle unlocked in Warzone, they can equip its best loadout and dominate any lobby in Season 5.

To see the full loadout for the Grau 5.56 in Warzone Season 5, keep reading below.

Best Grau 5.56 loadout in Warzone

Any veteran of Warzone will know how strong the Grau 5.56 can actually be. It has consistent recoil, high damage, and excellent mobility for an assault rifle. Of course, the gun still needs some help from its attachment pool to be competitive with the other ARs in Warzone.

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Tempus 26.4″ Archangel
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 60 Round Mags

The loadout begins as many others do, with the Monolithic Suppressor. It’s followed by the Tempus 26.4″ Archangel barrel to maximize the Grau’s damage range and bullet velocity. For recoil control, the Archangel barrel and Commando Foregrip perform perfectly. The last two attachments on the loadout simply add some support to the Grau. The VLK 3.0x Optic is the best mid to long-range choice for Modern Warfare assault rifles and the 60 Round Mags are to ensure players don’t run out of bullets in the middle of a gunfight.

The Grau 5.56 seems to be many Warzone streamers’ AR of choice early on in Season 5, and this loadout is why.
