The FSS Hurricane has never been firmly in the meta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a weapon worth using. The SMG version of the M4 can be a monster, especially at close range, regardless of the map you are on. Of course, you will get the most out of the FSS Hurricane in MW2 by using its best overall loadout.

Compared to the rest of the SMGs, the Hurricane actually has some of the best overall mobility in the class. It can aim down sights extremely quickly, allowing players to start dealing damage to enemies faster than they normally can. While the Hurricane’s damage could be better, its recoil control and magazine size are strengths that help make up for the lack of damage.

Of course, all of these stats can be boosted by using the best loadout for the FSS Hurricane in MW2.

Best FSS Hurricane loadout in MW2

The best set of attachments for the Hurricane gives it buffs to several different areas, allowing it to be a threat at any range.

  • Muzzle: FTAC Castle Comp
  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Stock: Demo Quicksilver
  • Ammunition: 5.7x28mm Overpressured
  • Rear Grip: Sakin ZX Grip

I’ll begin with the FTAC Castle Comp muzzle, which is an attachment that boosts accuracy by a substantial amount. The Sakin ZX Grip also improves recoil control, allowing you to dominate enemies at mid range on any multiplayer ma. The FSS OLE-V Laser is in place to improve overall mobility, as is the Demo Quicksilver stock.

The loadout is completed by the 5.7x28mm Overpressured ammunition, which gives you a huge damage boost. The FSS Hurricane isn’t the best SMG in MW2, but this loadout is extremely enjoyable to use for aggressive players.

As a final note, you can use the FSS Hurricane in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
