The submachine gun class in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is perhaps the most well-rounded in all of multiplayer. Every weapon in the class is usable in one way or the other, all possessing decent stats and viability. While there are certainly some that are better than others, players aren’t putting themselves at a huge disadvantage by using one SMG over another. If players are looking to mix things up in Season 1 Reloaded, though, they should try out the FSS Hurricane. The FSS Hurricane is a highly underrated SMG in Modern Warfare 2, featuring a fast and reliable loadout for multiplayer.

Compared to the rest of the SMGs, the Hurricane actually has some of the best overall mobility in the class. It can aim down sights extremely quickly, allowing players to start dealing damage to enemies faster than they normally can. While the Hurricane’s damage could be better, its recoil control and magazine size are strengths that help make up for the lack of damage.

Of course, all of these stats can be boosted by using the best loadout for the FSS Hurricane.

The best set of attachments for the Hurricane gives it buffs to several different areas, allowing it to be a threat at any range.

  • Muzzle: XTEN RR 40
  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Optic: Slimline Pro
  • Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
  • Rear Grip: Sakin ZX Grip

We’ll begin with the XTEN RR 40 muzzle, which is a suppressor that boosts damage range, recoil control, and bullet velocity. The Sakin ZX Grip also improves recoil control while the FSS Sharkfin 90 boosts aiming stability. The FSS OLE-V Laser is in place to improve overall mobility and the Slimline Pro is the best close-mid range optic in multiplayer.
