Long range weapons have become the mainstay meta in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 over the course of Season 1 and 2. While close range guns like submachine guns are popular as secondary weapons, players’ primary guns will always be a rifle of some kind. The current meta in Warzone 2 features guns such as the TAQ 56, TAQ V, Kastov 762, and the RPK. However, if players are looking for a more tactical approach to long range gunfights, they should look at the marksman rifle class. Specifically, the EBR 14 has an underrated loadout in Warzone 2 that can deal some real damage at long ranges.

The EBR 14 is a semi-automatic marksman rifle that can be one of Warzone 2’s best weapons if players can consistently hit headshots. Of course, that’s not likely to happen, which is why the EBR 14 only has a 0.5% pick rate as of Season 2. Players that want to use the EBR 14 should temper their expectations, as it’s difficult to knock down enemies quickly, especially if they’re moving. With the right attachments, though, the EBR can be a solid long range choice if players are willing to play slow and tactical.

To make the EBR 14 a more viable choice, players will want to increase its damage range and accuracy above all else. These two stat boosts will give players a better chance against the top long range weapons that litter Al Mazrah every single match.

  • Muzzle: Husher-65 Silencer
  • Barrel: 22″ Boremaster Barrel
  • Optic: SZ Vortex 90
  • Stock: FTAC Valor Stock
  • Magazine: 20 Round Mag

The Husher-65 Silencer and 22″ Boremaster Barrel begin the loadout and increase recoil control, damage range, and bullet velocity. The FTAC Valor Stock further helps out with accuracy while the SZ Vortex 90 is a solid mid-long range optic. Finally, the 20 Round Mag gives players some wiggle room if they miss shots during a gunfight.
