In the current competitive landscape, there is one submachine gun that rules over all others in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

That SMG is the Vaznev-9K, and it’s been the meta choice for competitive players since the beginning of the game. While professionals have tried out other SMGs, like the Lachmann Sub and FSS Hurricane, the Vaznev has remained as the top choice. Competitive players or those looking to get into competitive matches will want to know the best loadout for the Vaznev-9K in Modern Warfare 2.

It should be noted that this loadout will differ from the casual loadout for the Vaznev. The competitive loadout needs to follow a ruleset and features attachments that cater more towards making the SMG viable for fast-paced gameplay. This loadout is currently being used by over a dozen professional players, including the likes of Chris “Simp” Lehr and Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro. Players can make adjustments if they’d like, but this is the set of attachments pros run on the Vaznev-9K for competitive play.

One small note that we will go over before listing the loadout is that the muzzle will change depending on what pro you’re watching. However, the muzzle they use doesn’t matter much, as all of them do the same thing, which is increase horizontal and vertical recoil while decreasing ADS speed and aiming stability. The muzzles have different names but accomplish the same goal, essentially. Other than that, the loadouts are virtually the same for all pros.

  • Muzzle: Lockshot KT85 Muzzle
  • Rear Grip: True-Tac Rear Grip
  • Stock: Otrezat Stock

This loadout is primarily focused on increasing the mobility of the Vaznev-9K, as competitive players want to be as quick as possible on the map with an SMG. Also, the accuracy of the Vaznev-9K is solid already, so recoil control attachments aren’t required.

Although, if players want to add another attachment to the loadout, a few pros have been seen running the SA Response III Barrel, which boosts damage range, bullet velocity, and recoil control at the cost of mobility. It’s up to each player to determine if those pros outweigh the cons.
