The assault rifle meta in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 is in disarray.

After Raven Software decided to nerf the KG M40 and STG44 in the Season 5 weapon balancing update, players have been left to figure out which AR to use. Because of its buff in the update, the Grau 5.56 got the first look, and it’s stayed in the meta since the arrival of Season 5. However, some newer players don’t have the Grau unlocked, and thus still searching for a proper AR to equip. Despite not receiving any kind of buff in Season 5, players should look at the Automaton and its best loadout in Warzone.

The Automaton has been one of the most popular assault rifles since Vanguard was integrated into Warzone. While its popularity has dwindled over the seasons, the Automaton currently holds one of the top kill/death ratios out of any gun in Warzone. This is mainly attributed to the fact that the Automaton has extremely low recoil and a high fire rate. This stat combination makes the AR fairly simple to use and allows players of any skill to equip its best loadout and succeed.

To see the full loadout for the Automaton in Warzone Season 5, keep reading below.

Best Automaton loadout in Warzone

  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: ZAC 600 BFA
  • Optic: 1229/Slate 3.25x Custom
  • Underbarrel: Bipod
  • Stock: Anastasia Padded
  • Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 75 Round Drums
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Hatched Grip
  • Perk 1: Tight Grip
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded

Even though its recoil control is already top-notch, this Automaton loadout aims to further improve its accuracy. Attachments like the ZAC 600 BFA barrel, Bipod, Anastasia Padded stock, Hatched and Tight Grip allow the Auto to be a virtual laser beam. Unlike the new EX1 laser weapon, however, the Automaton shoots real bullets and has a decent time-to-kill.

With this loadout and its current stats, the Automaton is currently in the running for a top spot in the Season 5 meta of Warzone.
