Team Liquid is looking like an absolute machine in CS:GO at the moment. The team is undeniably feeling it at the moment, winning their fifth straight LAN event after sweeping ENCE 3-0 in the final of IEM Chicago. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, the Americans only dropped one map in total throughout the event against G2 at the group A winners’ match.

Legacy in the making

Team Liquid has already achieved so much this year. They’ve bagged $1,000,000 after winning the elusive Intel Grand Slam following their win at ESL One Cologne. They’ve also found success at a BLAST event after claiming the trophy at BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles recently.

Most importantly, the team is on a five-LAN win streak. With so many events still to come in 2019, who knows how far they can get with such amazing form?

However, to really solidify their dominance in 2019, Team Liquid must make sure to find success at a major. The upcoming StarLadder Major in Berlin is the next time we’ll see the American team compete. That takes place in late August. If they triumph there, then 2019 will definitely be forever remembered as the year of Team Liquid.

Elige impresses again and receives MVP award

It is no secret that the whole of Team Liquid players are special in their own way, each bringing elements to the table that together form a whole well-oiled machine. Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski received MVP of IEM Chicago, his third of this year. This means that he is now tied with Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut for the most individual medals since the beginning of 2019.
